Codrin Drâmba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th minute Niculae Domuță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Drâmba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Ivan Roşca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marian Lupoi. The goal made the score 1-0. With a little luck, Simbrias's Marian Lupoi got control of the ball when Adrian Braru tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Academia Sighet's Ivan Roşca got a free kick in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Simbrias's Niculae Domuță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Codrin Drâmba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Viorel Tunaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simbrias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viorel Tunaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Cristi Danciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Sighet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Simbrias the free kick. In the 19th minute, Cristi Danciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Dumitru Muntean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Drâmba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Roşca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marian Lupoi having to make a save. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Niculae Domuță sped through Academia Sighet's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Codrin Drâmba. Ivan Roşca's late challenge caught a Simbrias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Roşca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, Academia Sighet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Roşca to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Niculae Domuță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Codrin Drâmba was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niculae Domuță was the one to do the kick off. Codrin Drâmba made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Iordache Tadici sent off a good shot on target. Codrin Drâmba came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Simbrias's Niculae Domuță. But to his dismay, Niculae Domuță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. If Viorel Tunaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codrin Drâmba made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Niculae Domuță sent off a good shot on target. Codrin Drâmba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Domuță, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Marian Lupoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Bunescu in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 played minutes Academia Sighet got a freekick which was hit by Francisc Bunescu. Academia Sighet were furious when Cristi Danciu was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Simbrias booed when Academia Sighet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Danciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viorel Tunaru, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Sighet's zone, Niculae Domuță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codrin Drâmba came out of the goal and Niculae Domuță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Codrin Drâmba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niculae Domuță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ernest Teofil fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simbrias's protests and gave Ernest Teofil a yellow card for diving instead. Ernest Teofil kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Simbrias's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
