Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lucas FC's Gică Şerbănescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Fitod getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Moise Stănilă hit a great ball. If Gică Şerbănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Stejaru in the 8th minute of play forced Lucas FC's goalkeeper Valter Zenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Edgar Arghir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lucas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Arghir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nechifor Baldovinescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Fitod's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Cera came free, but Nechifor Baldovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match, Tudor Turcan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valter Zenga was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Valter Zenga was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Felix Stârcea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felix Stârcea really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gică Şerbănescu in the 21st minute of play forced Fitod's goalkeeper Nechifor Baldovinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nechifor Baldovinescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabio Cera went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Nechifor Baldovinescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Arghir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tudor Turcan got free with Valter Zenga in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Fitod's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Arghir came free, but Nechifor Baldovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Fitod's Paul Stejaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valter Zenga. That made the score 2-1 after 34 minutes of play. Nechifor Baldovinescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabio Cera went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Felix Stârcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valter Zenga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tudor Turcan in the 45th minute. Edgar Arghir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Baldovinescu having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul Stejaru was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Fabio Cera dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nechifor Baldovinescu, 2-3. In the 56th minute Paul Stejaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Zenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Edgar Arghir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lucas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Fabio Cera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nechifor Baldovinescu. That made the score 2-5 in the 61 minute of play. Valter Zenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Turcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas FC's Gică Şerbănescu got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valter Zenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Stejaru in the 72nd minute of the match. If David Mumuleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tudor Turcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Zenga having to interfere. Valter Zenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Stejaru in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Turcan in the 81st minute of play forced Lucas FC's goalkeeper Valter Zenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Vali Lăzărescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Cera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nechifor Baldovinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tudor Turcan fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fitod's protests and gave Tudor Turcan a yellow card for diving instead. Tudor Turcan hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
