The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Iustinian Negulici ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrei Chihaia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Moise Damian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tazlaul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ivopataka the free kick. Moise Damian kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Andrei Chihaia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Negulici in the 15th minute of play. Anton Aliuta struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Andrei Chihaia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tazlaul FC. Iustinian Negulici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilie Costandache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Lepuș's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Robert Lepuș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Tazlaul FC's Anton Aliuta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrei Chihaia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 36th match minute, Ivopataka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Lepuș to maneuver through the defense. Ivopataka's Andrei Chihaia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Aliuta in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Anton Aliuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrei Chihaia was relentless in the 50th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustinian Negulici was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes, Cătălin Pivniceru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ivopataka and the Tazlaul FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ivopataka getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cătălin Pivniceru hit a great ball. Iustinian Negulici struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Anton Aliuta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Ivopataka's goal looked a bit too open when Iustinian Negulici came free, but Andrei Chihaia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ivopataka's goalkeeper Andrei Chihaia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Anton Aliuta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tazlaul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Aliuta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrei Chihaia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Anton Aliuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivopataka's Andrei Chihaia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustinian Negulici in the 88th minute of play. Iustinian Negulici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Andrei Chihaia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tudor Lepuș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 100th minute Iustinian Negulici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Chihaia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
