Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Manole Ghiciușca kicked off to start the match. Basarab Matei came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Danesti's Petru Cazan. But to his dismay, Petru Cazan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tiberiu Slicaru charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiberiu Slicaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tiberiu Slicaru kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Niculae Ghișe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basarab Matei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Bratoloveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes of play, Danesti's Dacian Ştefănucă made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basarab Matei was left in no man's land by his defense there! Argo's Basarab Matei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Cazan in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Dacian Ştefănucă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gheorghe Răuțu charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gheorghe Răuțu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Danesti booed when Argo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Răuțu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Ştefănucă in the 39th minute of play forced Argo's goalkeeper Basarab Matei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Eric Bratoloveanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Danesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eric Bratoloveanu in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basarab Matei saved Argo from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Victor Molodețiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Filipașcu in the 52nd minute of play forced Argo's goalkeeper Basarab Matei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Petru Cazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Basarab Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Filipașcu in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Argo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Ghițescu to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Eric Bogatu in the 66th minute really tested Basarab Matei's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Argo's Basarab Matei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Argo from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Argo's goalkeeper Basarab Matei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dacian Ştefănucă. Basarab Matei came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Danesti's Dacian Ştefănucă. But to his dismay, Dacian Ştefănucă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. From a short distance, Danesti's Eric Bratoloveanu, in the 76th minute, tried to place the ball behind Basarab Matei, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Basarab Matei came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Danesti's Dacian Ştefănucă. But to his dismay, Dacian Ştefănucă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Dacian Ştefănucă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Basarab Matei made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petru Cazan got free with Basarab Matei in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Argo booed when Danesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Molodețiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, one of Danesti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Danesti. With an all-out effort, Danesti's Basarab Matei threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pompiliu Filipașcu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dacian Ştefănucă took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basarab Matei. Basarab Matei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Danesti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
