After a rather tough play, Livezeni AC's Pompiliu Ghiorman got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute Emanuel Tatomir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Romoşan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Mergea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Manuel Spirache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Tatomir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Rareș Romoşan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rareș Romoşan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Tatomir in the 18th minute of play. Rareș Romoşan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Tatomir went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Romeo Lucian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to CSA Steaua Bucuresti getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Marin Voiculescu hit a great ball. Emanuel Tatomir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rareș Romoşan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Lucian, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The wind increased when Romeo Lucian made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Petru Josan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSA Steaua Bucuresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Livezeni AC the free kick. Martin Paraschiv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Manuel Spirache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Mergea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Spirache having to interfere. CSA Steaua Bucuresti's Manuel Spirache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Mergea in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Rareș Doroftei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Mergea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Manuel Spirache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes CSA Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Bistreanu. Emil Mergea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Spirache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. CSA Steaua Bucuresti's Manuel Spirache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Paraschiv in the 75th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Marin Voiculescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSA Steaua Bucuresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Livezeni AC the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Mergea in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Spirache saved CSA Steaua Bucuresti from getting behind. Rareș Doroftei hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in CSA Steaua Bucuresti's zone, Emil Mergea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Spirache came out of the goal and Emil Mergea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Martin Paraschiv came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Livezeni AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Paraschiv couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes CSA Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Bistreanu. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Livezeni AC! The goalkeeper, Rareș Romoşan, was totally fooled by CSA Steaua Bucuresti's Nechifor Cazan, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of CSA Steaua Bucuresti booed when Livezeni AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Bogdănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rareș Romoşan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Lucian's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in CSA Steaua Bucuresti's zone, Martin Paraschiv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Spirache came out of the goal and Martin Paraschiv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Livezeni AC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CSA Steaua Bucuresti's performance. The match ended with a win for CSA Steaua Bucuresti.
