Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Albert Ciuvică kicked off to start the match. Albert Ciuvică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, MCM.LAZIO's Dumitru Dejeu got a free kick in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in MCM.LAZIO's zone, Marian Blidaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Bunescu came out of the goal and Marian Blidaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Gheorghe Drăghici got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th match minute, Varleni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Luțu to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match Dumitru Dejeu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Costel Negruț showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gheorghe Drăghici might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Costel Negruț. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gheorghe Drăghici ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Vlad Țepeneag's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costel Negruț was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Costel Negruț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Toader in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vlad Țepeneag in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costel Negruț prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Costel Negruț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlad Țepeneag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costel Negruț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlad Țepeneag in the 31st minute of the match. Gheorghe Drăghici struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Costel Negruț didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MCM.LAZIO. MCM.LAZIO's George Bunescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save MCM.LAZIO from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Varleni booed when MCM.LAZIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Cângea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vlad Țepeneag charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vlad Țepeneag the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. MCM.LAZIO's George Bunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Blidaru in the 40th minute of play. Albert Ciuvică could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but George Bunescu made a huge save. Costel Negruț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlad Țepeneag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vlad Țepeneag made a kick off. Vlad Țepeneags short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Costel Negruț to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vlad Țepeneag fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Negruț having to interfere. Codruț Pitiș kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Costel Negruț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlad Țepeneag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Albert Ciuvică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Ciuvică scored 1-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Bunescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, MCM.LAZIO's Alexandru Toader got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 74 played minutes MCM.LAZIO got a freekick which was hit by Ionel Dinu. Alex Malcoci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. George Bunescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albert Ciuvică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marian Blidaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. George Bunescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mircea Drăghici fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varleni's protests and gave Mircea Drăghici a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Varleni's Mircea Drăghici got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Dumitru Dejeu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costel Negruț read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Varleni's Costel Negruț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Țepeneag in the 97th minute of play.
