Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) FC Moltisanti's Nicolae Vâlceanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cosmin Spirea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolae Vâlceanu in the 9th minute of the match. Marin Râmniceanu charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marin Râmniceanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marin Râmniceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, FC Moltisanti's Nicolae Vâlceanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cosmin Spirea. Cosmin Spirea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 17th minute, Eduard Diaconu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucrețiu Dăscălescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Nicolae Vâlceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Spirea having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Pompiliu Amânaloae made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Baia Mare's Cosmin Spirea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute of the match Doru Ciordaș sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cosmin Spirea skillfully saved the ball. FC Moltisanti's Doru Ciordaș shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 39th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cosmin Spirea but with some difficulty. A collision led to FC Baia Mare getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Vali Pancu hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduard Diaconu to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, FC Moltisanti's Horea Mendrea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosmin Spirea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 58th minute, Gabriel Udrea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lucrețiu Dăscălescu. The goal made the score 3-2. If Pompiliu Amânaloae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Baia Mare's Cosmin Spirea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Amânaloae in the 72nd minute of play. Lucrețiu Dăscălescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Gugea in the 74th minute of the match. Nicolae Vâlceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Cosmin Spirea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, FC Baia Mare's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Amânaloae came free, but Cosmin Spirea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Moltisanti's Lucrețiu Dăscălescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Gugea in the 84th minute of play. When Eduard Diaconu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Baia Mare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduard Diaconu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Diaconu in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Moltisanti's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Dăscălescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Nicolae Vâlceanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosmin Spirea was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. FC Baia Mare's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
