The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. George Uncheşelu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th match minute, Campurelu CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Cocoș to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, George Uncheşelu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Viorel Isopescu. If Cazimir Donici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute of the match, Iosif Udrea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ionică Cunea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Davidesa's Ionică Cunea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Amurăriței in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Cazimir Donici left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campurelu CS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Iosif Udrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionică Cunea having to interfere. Codruț Udup hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Davidesa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Cazimir Donici scored to the left of an out of position Ionică Cunea, making the score, 3-1. Cazimir Donici might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ionică Cunea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cazimir Donici ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iosif Udrea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Davidesa's George Uncheşelu got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iosif Udrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, George Uncheşelu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Viorel Isopescu. George Uncheşelu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Iosif Udrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tudor Amurăriței in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionică Cunea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute, Petrică Sabău hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes, Campurelu CS's Valer Ştefănescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ionică Cunea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Campurelu CS reached it. Campurelu CS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
