Teodor Unchiaşu had several of the Jahalia CSM's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Paul Ciorogaru as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee felt a red card was in order, 6 minutes into the game, when Cui Hui Qiang put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Jahalia CSM booed when Zimnicea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cui Hui Qiang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mugur Honcioiu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Turlea. Zimnicea's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 10th minute Martin Chiru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ciorogaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Mugur Honcioiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ioan Bucur might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Ciorogaru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ioan Bucur ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Jahalia CSM's zone, Mugur Stan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Ciorogaru came out of the goal and Mugur Stan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ioan Bucur succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 19th playminute. Martin Chiru scored 3-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paul Ciorogaru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ioan Bucur got free with Paul Ciorogaru in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ioan Bucur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Ciorogaru having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Mugur Stan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Ciorogaru. The goal made the score 5-0. Zimnicea's Ioan Bucur got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Jahalia CSM defense, Ştefan Cobâlcescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Ciorogaru. The Jahalia CSM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Ciorogaru should have stopped the shot.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mugur Stan made a kick off. Martin Chiru scored 7-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paul Ciorogaru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ioan Bucur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Jahalia CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Furdui came free, but Paul Ciorogaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pompiliu Achimescu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Paul Ciorogaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ioan Bucur in the 96th minute of the match. Zimnicea walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
