If Gelu Lera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Stănculescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octav Horea's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After 8 minutes Hilita's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcel Zgrăbunţa who took care of the corner kick. Vlad Musta thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Manuel Stănculescu, a very annoying self made goal in the 8th minute which led to 0-1. The supporters of Thracian F.C booed when Hilita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horaţiu Boroneanț didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, Thracian F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandu Elisei to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Stănculescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Barascu in the 15th minute of the match. Manuel Stănculescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octav Horea's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. If Octav Horea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pompiliu Barascu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Stănculescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octav Horea in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Stănculescu saved Hilita from getting behind. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Octav Horea sped through Hilita's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Stănculescu. Victor Tache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Manuel Stănculescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Stănculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Horea, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Hilita's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Horea came free, but Manuel Stănculescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Stănculescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Tache in the 40th minute of the match. Horaţiu Boroneanț charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 42nd minute of the match Gelu Lera sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Stănculescu skillfully saved the ball. Nae Maleș kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hilita defense, Victor Tache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Stănculescu. The Hilita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Stănculescu should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pompiliu Barascu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Stănculescu having to interfere. Pompiliu Barascu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hilita getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Nae Maleș hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Horea in the 91st minute of play forced Hilita's goalkeeper Manuel Stănculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
