Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Costisata CSS's Ion Ştefănoiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Racis's Leonard Slicaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ion Ştefănoiu in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ion Ştefănoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costisata CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ion Ştefănoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Slicaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute Nichifor Negrițoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Slicaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Lucănescu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Gabriel Bădulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costisata CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Bădulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Slicaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sorin Gherasescu took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonard Slicaru. Leonard Slicaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leonard Slicaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nichifor Negrițoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonard Slicaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ion Ştefănoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Dumitru Mitrofan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 minutes, Radu Ciprian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costisata CSS and the Racis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, Radu Ciprian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dumitru Mitrofan got free with Radu Daimacă in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horaţiu Bidulescu to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Mitrofan in the 54th minute of play forced Costisata CSS's goalkeeper Radu Daimacă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radu Daimacă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Mitrofan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Horaţiu Bidulescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Racis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Radu Daimacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Bidulescu in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute Dumitru Mitrofan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Daimacă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Racis getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Horaţiu Bidulescu hit a great ball. In the 69th match minute, Racis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Zgondea to maneuver through the defense. Leonard Slicaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nichifor Negrițoiu in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Racis's Sever Fetea got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Horaţiu Bidulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Nichifor Negrițoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costisata CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nichifor Negrițoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
