The attack was good, but when Emil Izvoranu in the 9th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Iacob Șeicaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Izvoranu in the 12th minute of play. Ilie Antipa's late challenge caught a Vartanesti AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ilie Antipa helped the player get up and apologised. Ilie Antipa hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute of the match, Vali Ortacu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dorel Maruță was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Bolovanesti's goalkeeper Dorel Maruță had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Cartiș. In the 25th minute Pavel Popovici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Maruță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cezar Dobrițoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iacob Șeicaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Dobrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Bolovanesti's Cezar Dobrițoiu in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dorel Maruță showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Vali Ortacu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dorel Maruță, 2-0. 41 minutes into the game, Cezar Dobrițoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolovanesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vartanesti AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bolovanesti's Cezar Dobrițoiu got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Vali Ortacu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Emil Izvoranu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute, Vali Ortacu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Pavel Popovici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emil Izvoranu in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iacob Șeicaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emil Izvoranu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Vartanesti AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Izvoranu came free, but Iacob Șeicaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Popovici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Maruță having to interfere. Pavel Popovici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dorel Maruță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cezar Dobrițoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horaţiu Zdrobiş hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Emil Izvoranu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iacob Șeicaru having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Vali Ortacu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bolovanesti's Dorel Maruță was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iacob Șeicaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Izvoranu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iacob Șeicaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Izvoranu in the 91st minute of play. Cezar Dobrițoius short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Iacob Șeicaru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vartanesti AFC had won after a very even match.
