A very good chance. Costin Mohora took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilie Baican. Resita FCM's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Horia Turlea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resita FCM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halceni FCM the free kick. After 33 played minutes Resita FCM got a freekick which was hit by Horia Turlea. In the 40th match minute, Halceni FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Toacsen to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basarab Dumitrescu made a kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Gică Varga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resita FCM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halceni FCM the free kick. Gică Varga kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Basarab Dumitrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Baican saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Drăgănoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eliodor Lobonț fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Resita FCM's protests and gave Eliodor Lobonț a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Eliodor Lobonț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Horia Turlea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilie Baican prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Halceni FCM:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Resita FCM:s goal. The Resita FCM supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Halceni FCM's performance. The match ended with a win for Halceni FCM.
