The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Basarab Birișu charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basarab Birișu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for BlackKnights. Albert Spelbu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ivan Jușcă. 1-0. Augustin Chitoran struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Manole Vulturar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Vld. Horea Poplăcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Jușcă having to interfere. Ivan Jușcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Spelbu in the 34th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Spelbu in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Jușcă saved Fc Vld from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, BlackKnights's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Surdilă came free, but Manole Vulturar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Surdilă in the 40th minute of play forced BlackKnights's goalkeeper Manole Vulturar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Aurelian Domnescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in BlackKnights's zone, Sergiu Moga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Vulturar came out of the goal and Sergiu Moga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albert Spelbu was the one to do the kick off. Albert Spelbu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Jușcă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Spelbu in the 55th minute of the match. Aurelian Rada kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Fc Vld defense, Albert Spelbu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Jușcă. The Fc Vld fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Jușcă should have stopped the shot. After 66 minutes of play Fc Vld's Basarab Birișu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 66th match minute, Fc Vld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Birișu to maneuver through the defense. Albert Spelbu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Jușcă. Fc Vld's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manole Vulturar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Chitoran in the 69th minute of the match. Sergiu Moga hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ivan Jușcă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albert Spelbu's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute, Horea Poplăcan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vali Cociubei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Manole Vulturar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BlackKnights's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Augustin Chitoran 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Manole Vulturar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Chitoran in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Augustin Chitoran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manole Vulturar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augustin Chitoran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. BlackKnights had won after a very even match.
