FC Eagles Sibiu's Ferdinand Amurăriței played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodion Cămătaru in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of FC Berea booed when FC Eagles Sibiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Atanasiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grigore Ozon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Ştiopul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Eagles Sibiu's Ferdinand Amurăriței played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berea Luca in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, FC Eagles Sibiu's goal looked a bit too open when Berea Luca came free, but Ferdinand Amurăriței reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berea Luca in the 27th minute of play forced FC Eagles Sibiu's goalkeeper Ferdinand Amurăriței to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Amurăriței made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berea Luca in the 27th minute of play. Ferdinand Amurăriței showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodion Cămătaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the game, Octav Tudoran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Grigore Ozon. Octav Tudoran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berea Luca in the 41st minute of play forced FC Eagles Sibiu's goalkeeper Ferdinand Amurăriței to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodion Cămătaru to make the kick off. Ferdinand Amurăriței made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Dărmănescu in the 68th minute of play. If Basarab Arotăriței had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the FC Berea defense, Corneliu Ştiopul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grigore Ozon. The FC Berea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grigore Ozon should have stopped the shot. Rodion Cămătarus short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Ferdinand Amurăriței to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 84 played minutes FC Eagles Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Drăgoi. In the 86th minute, Rodion Cămătaru fired a really elegant long shot, but Ferdinand Amurăriței threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Denis Mănescu's late challenge caught a FC Berea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Mănescu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Eagles Sibiu booed when FC Berea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Rotariu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Maraman Belo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Eagles Sibiu's supporters rose to their feet, but Maraman Belo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grigore Ozon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Eagles Sibiu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
