Ramiro Grabiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Săraru in the 10th minute of the match. Viorel Vlăsiu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Ramiro Grabiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Moldoveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Milcoveanu's late challenge caught a FC Moshu Sibiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Milcoveanu helped the player get up and apologised. David Milcoveanu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute of the match SC Steaua Chitila got a corner. FC Moshu Sibiu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Patrick Kluivert ran over to the corner to take the kick. Isac Calota was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Francisc Moți scored 1-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro Grabiel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Milcoveanu made a kick off. A collision led to FC Moshu Sibiu getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Haroldo Peres hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Francisc Moți made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Grabiel. FC Moshu Sibiu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 62 minutes into the game, Doru Marincean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of FC Moshu Sibiu booed when SC Steaua Chitila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Bolcaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, SC Steaua Chitila's Francisc Moți dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5.
