After a defensive mix-up in RapidBarcelona's zone, Mădălin Ducu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narcis Lucan came out of the goal and Mădălin Ducu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Narcis Lucan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Aelenei in the 18th minute of the match. Mădălin Ducu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fabian Aplugăriței hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, RapidBarcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Răzvan Moțoc to maneuver through the defense. Narcis Lucan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Aelenei in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Mădălin Ducu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narcis Lucan. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonard Aelenei was the one to do the kick off. RapidBarcelona's Narcis Lucan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save RapidBarcelona from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Moshu Sibiu's Mădălin Ducu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Narcis Lucan. That made the score 0-3 after 95 minutes of play. FC Moshu Sibiu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
