Nicu Berceanu made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Ionuț Manolescu sent off a good shot on target. Ionuț Manolescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicu Berceanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Ionuț Manolescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Nicu Berceanu made a huge save. Ciprian Butuc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Kadajas went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ciprian Butuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Atodiresei in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Ionuț Manolescu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Buburuza's Nicu Berceanu. Nicu Berceanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manole Atodiresei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Buburuza's Nicu Berceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Buburuza from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC Buburuza getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Manole Atodiresei hit a great ball. Panait Amuguroancei lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, FC Buburuza's Panait Amuguroancei got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Paul Antim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Manole Atodiresei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilian Bălanescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicu Berceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Bălanescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Manole Atodiresei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Butuc having to interfere.
