Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Irinel Roman started the match with the kick off. Laurențiu Barbăneagră made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Curtean in the 11th minute of play. Sabin Mirciu struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Valeriu Buzea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cioc SC. Basarab Popean hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Cioc SC's Valeriu Buzea threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Irinel Roman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 25 minutes into the game, Irinel Roman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valeriu Buzea. Irinel Roman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Irinel Cristache struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Valeriu Buzea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cioc SC. Cosmin Ciocâlteu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Laurențiu Barbăneagră took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicodim Curtean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basarab Popean kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Hermannstadt's Marcu Urduban got a free kick in the 36th minute. Cioc SC's Cosmin Ciocâlteu got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Cosmin Ciocâlteu off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Curtean in the 44th minute of play forced Cioc SC's goalkeeper Laurențiu Barbăneagră to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Pomuț stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Irinel Roman in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valeriu Buzea saved FC Hermannstadt from getting behind. Sabin Mirciu hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Denis Pomuț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC Hermannstadt getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Edgar Vernescu hit a great ball. Valeriu Buzea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Irinel Roman's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Laurențiu Barbăneagră made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Nicodim Curtean sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 66 minutes, Irinel Roman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cioc SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irinel Roman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hermannstadt's zone, Pompiliu Surdu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valeriu Buzea came out of the goal and Pompiliu Surdu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basarab Popean kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Valeriu Buzea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irinel Roman, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Irinel Roman scored 3-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valeriu Buzea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the game, Cioc SC's Irinel Roman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valeriu Buzea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Denis Pomuț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabin Mirciu took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valeriu Buzea. Valeriu Buzea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Cioc SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
