Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sabin Coroian kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Ferdinand Lucescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ion Manciulescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ferdinand Lucescu scored 0-2 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ion Manciulescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ion Manciulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Lucescu in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 minutes FC NFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petruț Stoiciu who took care of the corner kick. Calfachioi AC's Petruț Stoiciu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ion Manciulescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 16 minutes, Ferdinand Lucescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calfachioi AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinand Lucescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Petruț Stoiciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ion Manciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Coroian in the 20th minute of play forced Calfachioi AC's goalkeeper Damian Şchiopu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC NFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Viorel Ghișe hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Gavril Calciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calfachioi AC's Damian Şchiopu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Coroian in the 30th minute of play. Marin Donose struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ion Manciulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calfachioi AC. After 39 played minutes FC NFC got a freekick which was hit by Marian Comișel. Ferdinand Lucescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Manciulescu having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Ferdinand Lucescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ion Manciulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Lucescu in the 57th minute of play. Petruț Stoiciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eric Mărăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Şchiopu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Cangeopol in the 71st minute of the match. Damian Şchiopu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Cangeopol, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Fabian Cangeopol hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Ferdinand Lucescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC NFC's Ion Manciulescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 88 minutes, Fabian Cangeopol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC NFC and the Calfachioi AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Francisc Chițu charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisc Chițu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 90 minutes into the game, one of Calfachioi AC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave FC NFC a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sergiu Gugea, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Calfachioi AC's Damian Şchiopu. 1-2. Ferdinand Lucescu's late challenge caught a FC NFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinand Lucescu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC NFC booed when Calfachioi AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Lucescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Şchiopu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Comișel in the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over Calfachioi AC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC NFC throughout the match.
