Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sabin Coroian made the kick off and thus started the match. The Poli Iași fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Poli Iași's Olimpiu Luca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Remus Nuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Comișel got free with Aurelian Stroia in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Chiuzbaian during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Poli Iași's Adrian Chiuzbaian got a free kick in the 11th minute. Poli Iași's Aurelian Stroia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Poli Iași from getting a goal against them. Ion Manciulescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remus Nuțu's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Nicu Timofte was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 19 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Aurelian Stroia, was totally fooled by FC NFC's Sergiu Gugea, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Poli Iași's Aurelian Stroia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Coroian in the 25th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Poli Iași was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Chiuzbaian to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Peter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Manciulescu having to interfere. A collision led to FC NFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Fabian Cangeopol hit a great ball. Sergiu Gherguț struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ion Manciulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Iași. Fabian Cangeopol charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabian Cangeopol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC NFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fabian Cangeopol hit a great ball. Olimpiu Luca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marian Comișel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Aurelian Stroia made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, Olimpiu Luca notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC NFC's Ion Manciulescu. Ion Manciulescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ion Manciulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Luca in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergiu Gherguț was the one to do the kick off. Ion Manciulescu was a little too slow when Olimpiu Luca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Baldu got free with Ion Manciulescu in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrian Chiuzbaian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ion Manciulescu made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Sergiu Gherguț sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Poli Iași booed when FC NFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Tastaman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Poli Iași's Sergiu Gherguț nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ion Manciulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. After a defensive mix-up in FC NFC's zone, Sergiu Gherguț stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Manciulescu came out of the goal and Sergiu Gherguț tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Sabin Coroian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC NFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. 76 minutes into the match, Poli Iași's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Ghișe came free, but Aurelian Stroia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Chiuzbaian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Manciulescu having to interfere. Sergiu Gherguț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Manciulescu having to interfere. Sergiu Gherguț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ion Manciulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Luca in the 93rd minute of play. When the match was over Poli Iași could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC NFC throughout the match.
