Teodor Radovan's late challenge caught a DOROBANTII's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodor Radovan helped the player get up and apologised. Teodor Radovan kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Dinu Bungescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Leonard Nistor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iordache Minea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mihăiţă Voina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Sanchez having to interfere. Iordache Minea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Nistor in the 36th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Voina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marin Oncescu during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. DOROBANTII:s Ronaldinho Sanchez showed great skill when he stopped Teodor Radovan:s penalty. Marian Drogoreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half DOROBANTII were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonard Nistor was the one to do the kick off. Marin Boroș struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Iordache Minea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DOROBANTII. When Mircea Chirtoacă fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DOROBANTII's protests and gave Mircea Chirtoacă a yellow card for diving instead. Mircea Chirtoacă kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 0-2 became the score in the 60th minute when Leonard Nistor elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, DOROBANTII's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Voina came free, but Ronaldinho Sanchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leonard Nistor came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the DOROBANTII fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Nistor couldn't finish the play. Dinu Bungescu charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of YR☆ Rossoneri™ booed when DOROBANTII was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Nistor didn't get a good kick on the ball. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing DOROBANTII to win.
