With a little luck, MINERUL BALAN's Jan Popowicz got control of the ball when Mircea Chirtoacă tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, DOROBANTII's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Apolzan came free, but Ronaldinho Sanchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldinho Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Apolzan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilian Apolzan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronaldinho Sanchez having to make a save. Emilian Apolzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ronaldinho Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, DOROBANTII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Vinciguerra to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldinho Sanchez came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by MINERUL BALAN's Emilian Apolzan. But to his dismay, Emilian Apolzan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Tudor Chiose got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Apolzan in the 26th minute of play forced DOROBANTII's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Sanchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by DOROBANTII's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pascal Massenhove was slow to take the kick. During this time MINERUL BALAN's players had a chance to rest. In the 31st minute Emilian Apolzan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Sanchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Emilian Apolzan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldinho Sanchez was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Emilian Apolzan put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ronaldinho Sanchez. Ronaldinho Sanchez came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by MINERUL BALAN's Emilian Apolzan. But to his dismay, Emilian Apolzan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Ronaldinho Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Baștină in the 44th minute of play. Ronaldinho Sanchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Apolzan, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Emilian Apolzan made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, MINERUL BALAN's Emilian Apolzan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronaldinho Sanchez. Ronaldinho Sanchez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Emilian Apolzan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronaldinho Sanchez. That made the score 0-6 in the 55 minute of play. Emilian Apolzan succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-7. The supporters of DOROBANTII booed when MINERUL BALAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Baștină didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Emilian Apolzan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronaldinho Sanchez. DOROBANTII's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilian Apolzan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Ronaldinho Sanchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Apolzan, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ronaldinho Sanchez was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Liviu Baștină capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Liviu Baștină really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. MINERUL BALAN's Tudor Chiose got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nikola Dragolov hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Mircea Chirtoacă hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Ronaldinho Sanchez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilian Apolzan in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute of the match, Emilian Apolzan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ronaldinho Sanchez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 92 minutes, Liviu Baștină managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MINERUL BALAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liviu Baștină was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Petre Băncilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded MINERUL BALAN left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DOROBANTII.
