After a rather tough play, F.C Petru B.U.C's Mugurel Stanciu got a free kick in the 24th minute. George Vâlcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Allard Borgman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidiu Bojin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Sabău, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Ovidiu Bojin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Taurino. Ovidiu Bojin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mugurel Stanciu went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pankracy Adamowicz in the 38th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Ovidiu Bojin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when F.C Petru B.U.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Stroe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidiu Bojin came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C Petru B.U.C's Mugurel Stanciu. But to his dismay, Mugurel Stanciu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Ovidiu Bojin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Taurino in the 71st minute of play. Ovidiu Bojin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emy Marioara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidiu Bojin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emy Marioara in the 79th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Champions Iasi defense, Cristi Sabău kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidiu Bojin. The Champions Iasi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidiu Bojin should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, one of F.C Petru B.U.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C Petru B.U.C. Allard Borgman had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Mădălin Pascu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Ciro Taurino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Bojin. Champions Iasi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Taurino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. If Manole Crașovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There was no doubt that F.C Petru B.U.C were the better team. F.C Petru B.U.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
