In the 67th minute of the match Fotbal Club Otelul Galati got a corner. Peretu City 09's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Doru Barna ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Peretu City 09's goalie and right to Vali Cucu. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Peretu City 09's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Peretu City 09's Francesco Toldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Peretu City 09 from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute Gelu Alexandrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Toldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suleiman Süleyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Păunescu having to interfere. Peretu City 09's Suleiman Süleyman got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Liviu Şteţ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th match minute, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Şteţ to maneuver through the defense. Nechifor Păunescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Abar in the 94th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
