Soimusul AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horaţiu Ispir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Costin Albulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petr Kladiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Guerra in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Gabriel Medeleanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Ispir, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rapiduletzu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Soimusul AFC's Petr Kladiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Rednic in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rapiduletzu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
