FC Highlanders's Valera Vulpe got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to FC Highlanders getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Petrea Speianu hit a great ball. Ovidiu Luncasu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Vornic in the 39th minute of play.
