The supporters of Strãseni booed when Antonesti CSF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ghenadie Urmasu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicu Gusã received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ilie Postolache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruslan Grimalschi's late challenge caught a Strãseni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruslan Grimalschi helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Antonesti CSF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Strãseni:s goal. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Strãseni. Ruslan Buga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ilie Postolache. 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Eduard Streche successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ilie Postolache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Gusã in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Antonesti CSF getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Igor Cociu hit a great ball. Adrian Iorga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eduard Streche came out and tried to block the shot, but Adrian Iorga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 18th minute. Ilie Postolache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicu Gusã's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Nicu Gusã recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilie Postolache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Gusã, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Daniel Dimitriu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Postolache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandu Doibani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduard Streche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 37thth minute of the game Daniel Dimitriu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Antonesti CSF's Ilie Postolache was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ilie Postolache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Dimitriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilie Postolache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicu Gusã's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Antonesti CSF's Ilie Postolache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicu Gusã in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicu Gusã to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Dimitriu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicu Gusã recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduard Streche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Iorga in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Strãseni's Nicolae Gusã got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 71st minute, Valentin Triboi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Strãseni's Eduard Streche didn't even have to move. A collision led to Strãseni getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Nicolae Gusã hit a great ball. Eduard Streche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Iorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Daniel Dimitriu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strãseni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Dimitriu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicu Gusã in the 82nd minute of play forced Antonesti CSF's goalkeeper Ilie Postolache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Strãseni's Daniel Dimitriu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilie Postolache made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Ilie Postolache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Gusã in the 88th minute of play. Daniel Dimitriu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicu Gusã fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Postolache having to interfere. Ilie Postolache made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Daniel Dimitriu sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Antonesti CSF defense, Daniel Dimitriu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilie Postolache. The Antonesti CSF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilie Postolache should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Strãseni eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
