An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Medelean in the 5th minute of play forced Lencãuti CSF's goalkeeper Iosif Plesca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigore Cerbu kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Iosif Plesca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Medelean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Leova's Cornel Dumitras got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lencãuti CSF's Iosif Tãrâtã got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Lencãuti CSF's Grigore Cerbu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. FC Leova's Vladimir Pârlea got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugeniusz Sokolski struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Iosif Plesca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Leova. Valentin Medelean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cornel Dumitras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Iosif Plesca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Valentin Medelean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Lencãuti CSF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Spãtaru to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Grigore Caraman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florin Cheptene. FC Leova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Grigore Caraman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to FC Leova getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Eugeniusz Sokolski hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Vladimir Pârlea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Leova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimir Pârlea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugeniusz Sokolski to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Valentin Medelean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Plesca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iosif Plesca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Constantin Pesmet in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute Iosif Tãrâtã shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Cheptene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Iosif Tãrâtã left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lencãuti CSF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Florin Cheptene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Tãrâtã in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 minutes, Cornel Dumitras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Leova and the Lencãuti CSF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th match minute, FC Leova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornel Dumitras to maneuver through the defense. Dan Pãduret's late challenge caught a Lencãuti CSF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florin Cheptene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Tãrâtã in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th match minute, FC Leova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Pãduret to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Cornel Dumitras reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iosif Plesca. The goal made the score 3-1.
