Nichifor Cretu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cãtãlin Bumbac in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vadim Tabãrã in the 9th minute of play forced Moldovan Fc's goalkeeper Nichifor Cretu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Vanghele hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Verejeni got a corner. Moldovan Fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sergiu Madan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marin Izvoreanu made a great header on Verejeni's corner, it was just that Moldovan Fc's Nichifor Cretu managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, Moldovan Fc's Constantin Doibani threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cãtãlin Iordan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Daniel Vulpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Constantin Doibani made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cãtãlin Iordan in the 42nd minute of play forced Verejeni's goalkeeper Constantin Doibani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Marin Izvoreanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verejeni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moldovan Fc the free kick. The supporters of Moldovan Fc booed when Verejeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Izvoreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Vadim Tabãrã had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nichifor Cretu. Moldovan Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vadim Tabãrã was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cãtãlin Iordan to make the kick off. Constantin Doibani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Vulpe in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Vadim Tabãrã managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verejeni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vadim Tabãrã was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Daniel Vulpe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantin Doibani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Cãtãlin Iordan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Constantin Doibani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moldovan Fc's Daniel Vulpe got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vadim Tabãrã got free with Nichifor Cretu in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cãtãlin Bumbac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nichifor Cretu made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Vadim Tabãrã sent off a good shot on target. Valera Ciubuc charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valera Ciubuc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cãtãlin Iordan in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Constantin Doibani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Valentin Pãduret fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moldovan Fc's protests and gave Valentin Pãduret a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Valentin Pãduret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cãtãlin Bumbac struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Nichifor Cretu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verejeni. Cãtãlin Bumbac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Nichifor Cretu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vadim Tabãrã in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nichifor Cretu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 94 minutes into the match, Moldovan Fc's goalkeeper Nichifor Cretu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vadim Tabãrã. In the 95th match minute, Moldovan Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigore Pricop to maneuver through the defense. Nichifor Cretu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cãtãlin Bumbac, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Verejeni players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
