The audience was convinced that Lucian Burduja's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandu Cecan was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. With a little luck, Dacia Chișinău's Lucian Crivoi got control of the ball when Lucian Prepelitã tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Unirea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Apostol came free, but Sandu Cecan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Unirea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Plugaru to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes Dacia Chișinău got a freekick which was hit by Anatolie Cernei. In the 67th minute of the match Denis Doga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucian Crivoi skillfully saved the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Dacia Chișinău's Lucian Burduja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sandu Cecan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucian Burduja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Sandu Cecan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radu Apostol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Sandu Cecan made a huge save. Lucian Prepelitã kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Radu Apostol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radu Apostol struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Sandu Cecan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dacia Chișinău. After a rather tough play, Unirea FC's Lucian Plugaru got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Dacia Chișinău got a corner. Unirea FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vladimir Josan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Radu Apostol's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Sandu Cecan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Dacia Chișinău players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
