In the 12th minute Cãlin Bumbu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Lica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marian P's late challenge caught a Zorile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian P helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ljuborazda getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Marian P hit a great ball. If Anton Visan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Vlad Iovu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Aurelian Lica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vlad Iovu in the 48th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vlad Iovu to make the kick off.
