Artūrs Žīgurs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juliāns Mandeiķis in the 6th minute of the match. If Askolds Kavinskis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes, Juliāns Mandeiķis made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. PFK Sarnate's Artūrs Žīgurs tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Askolds Kavinskis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Askolds Kavinskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PFK Sarnate's Artūrs Žīgurs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Askolds Kavinskis in the 20th minute of play. If Askolds Kavinskis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Artūrs Žīgurs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Askolds Kavinskis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mārtiņs Stubergs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Atis Bringulis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aigars Eglājs. FC Kliversala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atis Bringulis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mārtiņs Stubergs kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Askolds Kavinskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juliāns Mandeiķis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artūrs Žīgurs having to interfere. Juliāns Mandeiķis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Artūrs Žīgurs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-2 became the score in the 48th minute when Askolds Kavinskis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Askolds Kavinskis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Agris Pulks struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Aigars Eglājs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PFK Sarnate. Aigars Eglājs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agris Pulks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC Kliversala defense, Mārtiņs Stubergs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aigars Eglājs. The FC Kliversala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aigars Eglājs should have stopped the shot. After 66 played minutes FC Kliversala got a freekick which was hit by Uldis Brunovskis. When Andis Levgovds fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Kliversala's protests and gave Andis Levgovds a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Kliversala's Andis Levgovds got a free kick in the 71st minute. After recieving a nice pass, PFK Sarnate's Renāts Bubinduss tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Andis Levgovds hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Aigars Eglājs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agris Pulks's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. With a little luck, PFK Sarnate's Artūrs Žīgurs got control of the ball when Juliāns Mandeiķis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miks Timmanis during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miks Timmanis hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Agris Pulks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Aigars Eglājs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaidis Buholts charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaidis Buholts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Artūrs Žīgurs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Askolds Kavinskis, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Juliāns Mandeiķis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Askolds Kavinskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artūrs Žīgurs having to interfere. PFK Sarnate succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Kliversala had controlled the match.
