Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ziedonis Runcevics in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ēriks Galvāns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Bēdīgi Slavenie Mērgļi getting a freekick after 13 minutes play.
