Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Viesturs Sonas came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Valda's Valdis Līkums. But to his dismay, Valdis Līkums quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Valdis Līkums blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viesturs Sonas having to make a save. With a little luck, Valda's Artis Modernieks got control of the ball when Linards Riders tried to sneak it across the goal line. Austrums Žukovskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austrums Žukovskis in the 16th minute of play forced Valda's goalkeeper Artis Modernieks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viesturs Sonas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdis Līkums, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Austrums Žukovskis's late challenge caught a Valda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Austrums Žukovskis helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Eleya got a freekick which was hit by Austrums Žukovskis. After a rather tough play, Valda's Alberts Nīkulis got a free kick in the 31st minute. Artis Modernieks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austrums Žukovskis in the 34th minute of the match. When Valdis Līkums came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Valda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdis Līkums couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdis Līkums to make the kick off. A collision led to Valda getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Stefans Krisāns hit a great ball. Eleya's Viesturs Sonas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdis Līkums in the 56th minute of play. If Kristofers Judziks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 minutes, Justs Bļoda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eleya and the Valda players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Eleya got a freekick which was hit by Justs Bļoda. Valdis Līkums charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdis Līkums the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th match minute, Valda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdis Līkums to maneuver through the defense. After 68 minutes of play, Eleya's Austrums Žukovskis made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artis Modernieks was left in no man's land by his defense there! Artis Modernieks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austrums Žukovskis in the 72nd minute of play. Alberts Nīkulis's late challenge caught a Eleya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberts Nīkulis helped the player get up and apologised. Alberts Nīkulis hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of Eleya booed when Valda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberts Nīkulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Eleya's Ludis Balačūns tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Artis Modernieks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austrums Žukovskis in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austrums Žukovskis in the 86th minute of play forced Valda's goalkeeper Artis Modernieks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Austrums Žukovskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artis Modernieks having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Linards Riders managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eleya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Linards Riders was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Kalvis Hiršfelds hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kristofers Judziks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
