FC Kurm's supporters rose to their feet, but Ārvalds Stekels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jānis Basmariņš breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Umberts Pulcs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the FC Kurm defense, Helmuts Subatelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvis Bigužs. The FC Kurm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvis Bigužs should have stopped the shot. After 39 minutes, Viesturs Pupelnieks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Cirvis and the FC Kurm players grew even worse after the yellow card. Viesturs Pupelnieks kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute FC Kurm were awarded a corner. Mārtiņs Vārdaunis went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of FC Kurm booed when FK Cirvis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rimants Vitomskis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Mārtiņs Vārdaunis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, FK Cirvis's goal looked a bit too open when Visvaldis Seflers came free, but Jānis Basmariņš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In a very dangerous position, a player in FK Cirvis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 71st minute there was a penalty for FC Kurm. Mārtiņs Vārdaunis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jānis Basmariņš. 1-2. Monvīds Beriņš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Although FC Kurm had been in control for most of the match, FK Cirvis still came away with the win.
