Vijciems's Arturs Kurpnieks got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Meireni's Pauls Steinbergs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturs Kurpnieks in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to FC Meireni getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Staņislavs Krepkovskis hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Vijciems's Romans Sobins broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. FC Meireni's Pauls Steinbergs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturs Kurpnieks in the 19th minute of play. Pauls Steinbergs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturs Kurpnieks in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Arturs Kurpnieks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Meireni's Pauls Steinbergs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturs Kurpnieks in the 29th minute of play. Ojars Marijevskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vijciems's Arturs Kurpnieks in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Salvis Kapinos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raivis Tebergs in the 43rd minute of the match. Jukums Trockis kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raivis Tebergs made a kick off. Raivis Tebergs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salvis Kapinos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Vijciems. Romans Sobins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pauls Steinbergs. 1-0. Gastons Dumbris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvis Kapinos having to interfere. Haralds Baturins hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Raivis Tebergs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vijciems's Salvis Kapinos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Ojars Marijevskis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vijciems fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Raivis Tebergs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvis Kapinos having to interfere. In the 89th minute Ojars Marijevskis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pauls Steinbergs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pauls Steinbergs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ojars Marijevskis, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ojars Marijevskis in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pauls Steinbergs saved FC Meireni from getting behind. Vijciems were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Meireni for a fine match.
