The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Dans Kauskals came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the SKONTO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dans Kauskals couldn't finish the play. Kaspars Murjānis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SKONTO FC's Dans Kauskals shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 12th minute, Dans Kauskals got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, SKONTO FC's Kaspars Murjānis threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfons Fausts, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 17 played minutes SKONTO FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfons Fausts. Agris Vatmanis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberts Varens, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Valts Markitāns came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SKONTO FC fans jumped to their feet. In the 24thth minute of the game Mikus Bumburs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SKONTO FC's Agris Vatmanis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Valts Markitāns dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kaspars Murjānis, 2-0. Agris Vatmanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagnis Mitulis in the 29th minute of the match. Inesis Dimpēteris kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Dans Kauskals fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaspars Murjānis having to interfere. When Dans Kauskals came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the SKONTO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dans Kauskals couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valts Markitāns to strike the kick off in the second half. Kaspars Murjānis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dans Kauskals, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Valts Markitāns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SKONTO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valts Markitāns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Choroseva's Dagnis Mitulis got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Alfons Fausts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kaspars Murjānis was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Choroseva's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Fausts came free, but Kaspars Murjānis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dans Kauskals ran back to his position shaking his head. After 89 minutes of play, SKONTO FC's Laimiņs Sandale made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kaspars Murjānis was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SKONTO FC fully deserved thier win.
