Tadas Riškus came out of the goal and Martynas Stonys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tylenis Jasaitis got free with Tadas Riškus in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valentas Velička fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ugnius Visokavicius having to interfere. In the 9th minute Valentas Velička shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ugnius Visokavicius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Puskelniai booed when FK Yurkantsy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alanas Makaitis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augustas Ginevičius took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ugnius Visokavicius. When Kipras Klimavicius fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After having played for 33 minutes, Kajus Misgirdas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Puskelniai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kajus Misgirdas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Martynas Stonys fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tadas Riškus, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tautvydas Gudas during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
