Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Greičius started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 3 minutes, Tautrimas Brikas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK KAUNO JĖGERIAI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tautrimas Brikas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute Tautrimas Brikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenonas Borgela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vilius Jakavičius came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the FBK Gruzdiske fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilius Jakavičius couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Tomas Greičius notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FK KAUNO JĖGERIAI's Juozas Steponaitis. Juozas Steponaitis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Tautrimas Brikas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zenonas Borgela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvydas Nasickas in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, FBK Gruzdiske was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ąžuolas Banys to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Ąžuolas Banys was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FBK Gruzdiske's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK KAUNO JĖGERIAI the free kick. A collision led to FBK Gruzdiske getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ąžuolas Banys hit a great ball. Arvydas Nasickas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenonas Borgela having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Mindaugas Rajeckas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FBK Gruzdiske and the FK KAUNO JĖGERIAI players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes FBK Gruzdiske got a freekick which was hit by Mindaugas Rajeckas. After 35 played minutes, FK KAUNO JĖGERIAI's Jaunius Ambrozaitis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zenonas Borgela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FK KAUNO JĖGERIAI reached it. 38 minutes into the game, Bronius Bakšys was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK KAUNO JĖGERIAI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FBK Gruzdiske the free kick. Bronius Bakšys hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Jarūnas Lisauskas, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilius Jakavičius got free with Juozas Steponaitis in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Bronius Bakšys was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. Bronius Bakšys kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Vilius Jakavičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arvydas Nasickas to strike the kick off in the second half. Juozas Steponaitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Greičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Greičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vilius Jakavičius scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juozas Steponaitis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 74 minutes of play, FBK Gruzdiske's Vilius Jakavičius made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juozas Steponaitis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zenonas Borgela made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Arvydas Nasickas sent off a good shot on target. If Mindaugas Rajeckas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FBK Gruzdiske's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
