With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daumantas Žalnerauskas in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laimonas Barkus saved FBK Smarliuniai from getting behind. The long shot by Rokas Augys in the 5th minute really tested Paulius Baublis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. FBK Smarliuniai's Laimonas Barkus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irtautas Juozaitis in the 7th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Daumantas Žalnerauskas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Laimonas Barkus. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daumantas Žalnerauskas in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laimonas Barkus saved FBK Smarliuniai from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in FBK Smarliuniai's zone, Daumantas Žalnerauskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laimonas Barkus came out of the goal and Daumantas Žalnerauskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klemensas Trinkūnas kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Ignas Petkauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ignas Petkauskas made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Gediminas Kadys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Yakshay and the FBK Smarliuniai players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes FK Yakshay got a freekick which was hit by Gediminas Kadys. FK Yakshay's Paulius Baublis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignas Petkauskas in the 59th minute of play. In the 66th minute Ignas Petkauskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulius Baublis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes FBK Smarliuniai got a freekick which was hit by Rimvydas Pipiras. Laimonas Barkus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irtautas Juozaitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Petras Alkauskas managed to get in a good position for a shot. FBK Smarliuniai's supporters rose to their feet, but Petras Alkauskas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulius Baublis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulius Baublis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignas Petkauskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignas Petkauskas in the 79th minute of play forced FK Yakshay's goalkeeper Paulius Baublis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FK Yakshay's zone, Petras Alkauskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulius Baublis came out of the goal and Petras Alkauskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
