Beržas Zubrickas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. Vitoldas Slavinskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurgis Baliunas in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vindziuliu's Gediminas Daukantas got a free kick in the 27th minute. Bernadas Meskauskas scored 2-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitoldas Slavinskas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 90 minutes, Jurgis Baliunas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vindziuliu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurgis Baliunas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitoldas Slavinskas was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Gytis Markevicius capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gytis Markevicius really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vindziuliu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
