An unexpectedly hard shot by Robertas Daunoravičius in the 4th minute of play forced FBK Vepri's goalkeeper Juozas Lapinskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marijonas Klevinskas struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Ligitas Anužis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FBK Vepri. If Gvidas Bilinkis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robertas Daunoravičius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juozas Lapinskas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Ričardas Tarabilda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FK siauliai's Ligitas Anužis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marijonas Klevinskas in the 28th minute of play. Juozas Lapinskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ričardas Tarabilda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, FK siauliai's Ričardas Tarabilda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juozas Lapinskas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Robertas Daunoravičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Ričardas Tarabilda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juozas Lapinskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Ričardas Tarabilda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juozas Lapinskas . FBK Vepri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ričardas Tarabilda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marijonas Klevinskas made a kick off. The supporters of FK siauliai booed when FBK Vepri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rimvydas Regelskis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juozas Lapinskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robertas Daunoravičius in the 57th minute of the match. Robertas Daunoravičius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ričardas Tarabilda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, FK siauliai's Robertas Daunoravičius dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. FBK Vepri's Nerijus Rakauskas got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 minutes, Gvidas Bilinkis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FBK Vepri and the FK siauliai players grew even worse after the yellow card. FK siauliai's Ričardas Tarabilda came free and shot a quick shot against goal 73 minutes in the game, fortunately Juozas Lapinskas had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With an all-out effort, FK siauliai's Juozas Lapinskas threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robertas Daunoravičius, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ričardas Tarabilda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Juozas Lapinskas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ričardas Tarabilda got free with Juozas Lapinskas in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in FBK Vepri's zone, Robertas Daunoravičius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juozas Lapinskas came out of the goal and Robertas Daunoravičius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ričardas Tarabilda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juozas Lapinskas having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Robertas Daunoravičius reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juozas Lapinskas . The goal made the score 1-4. When the final whistle sounded FK siauliai left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FBK Vepri.
