Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) FBK Pokempine's Romas Kumpis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Lauras Narbekovas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Milgavdze and the FBK Pokempine players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 2 played minutes FK Milgavdze got a freekick which was hit by Lauras Narbekovas. 7 minutes into the game, Romas Kumpis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zenonas Širvinskas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zenonas Širvinskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mindaugas Kazlas in the 18th minute of the match. Nerūnas Momkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Augustinas Vartkus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Mindaugas Kazlas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenonas Širvinskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Tauras Dainavičius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK Milgavdze fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Nerūnas Momkus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nerūnas Momkus came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the FK Milgavdze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nerūnas Momkus couldn't finish the play. A collision led to FK Milgavdze getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Aldas Bardauskas hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FK Milgavdze's Arminas Trinkūnas got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Audrius Petrauskas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zenonas Širvinskas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tauras Dainavičius to make the kick off. Aldas Bardauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Augustinas Vartkus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zigmantas Voldemaras during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FK Milgavdze booed when FBK Pokempine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zigmantas Voldemaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augustinas Vartkus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nerūnas Momkus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tauras Dainavičius in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augustinas Vartkus saved FBK Pokempine from getting behind. Zigmantas Voldemaras hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FBK Pokempine's Zigmantas Voldemaras got a free kick in the 77th minute. Zenonas Širvinskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romas Kumpis in the 80th minute of play. Augustinas Vartkus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tauras Dainavičius in the 82nd minute of the match. Tauras Dainavičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustinas Vartkus having to interfere. After 87 played minutes FBK Pokempine got a freekick which was hit by Mecislovas Martinkus. Augustinas Vartkus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nerūnas Momkus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tauras Dainavičius in the 91st minute of play forced FBK Pokempine's goalkeeper Augustinas Vartkus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Nerūnas Momkus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FBK Pokempine's Augustinas Vartkus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FK Milgavdze's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
