Zenonas Paškevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liudvikas Glodenis in the 3rd minute of play. Andrius Lemežis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenonas Paškevičius having to interfere. If Andrius Lemežis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liudvikas Glodenis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrius Lemežis struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Zenonas Paškevičius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Anzhi. Augustas Maksimavičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. FC Anzhi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrius Lemežis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augustas Maksimavičius might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zenonas Paškevičius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augustas Maksimavičius ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadas Sadeckas during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FBK Rekliai's Tadas Sadeckas got a free kick in the 29th minute. The audience was convinced that Liudvikas Glodenis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zenonas Paškevičius was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. When Jonas Pilvinis fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Anzhi's protests and gave Jonas Pilvinis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, FC Anzhi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Pilvinis to maneuver through the defense. Zenonas Paškevičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, FBK Rekliai's goal looked a bit too open when Augustas Maksimavičius came free, but Zenonas Paškevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liudvikas Glodenis was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the FC Anzhi defense, Simonas Stockus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eitautas Gimžauskas. The FC Anzhi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eitautas Gimžauskas should have stopped the shot. Jonas Pilvinis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenonas Paškevičius having to interfere. FBK Rekliai's Zenonas Paškevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustas Maksimavičius in the 64th minute of play. After 65 minutes, Marijus Babravičius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FBK Rekliai and the FC Anzhi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, FBK Rekliai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marijus Babravičius to maneuver through the defense. FBK Rekliai's Zenonas Paškevičius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save FBK Rekliai from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, Augustas Maksimavičius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augustas Maksimavičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Zenonas Paškevičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrius Lemežis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Anzhi booed when FBK Rekliai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egidijus Jurkaitis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augustas Maksimavičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Zenonas Paškevičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FBK Rekliai succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Anzhi had controlled the match.
