Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) FC Medinyay's Lukas Vaišvila started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of FBK Žalgirio booed when FC Medinyay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertas Genys didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Benas Danilevičius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vaclovas Uogintas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Eidvilas Gerdauskas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vaclovas Uogintas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Sagurskis in the 24th minute of play forced FBK Žalgirio's goalkeeper Tauras Virbickas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vėjas Žalpys's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Eidvilas Gerdauskas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 29 minutes into the match, FBK Žalgirio's Vėjas Žalpys sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eidvilas Gerdauskas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eidvilas Gerdauskas made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Vaclovas Uogintas sent off a good shot on target. Vėjas Žalpys struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Eidvilas Gerdauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FBK Žalgirio. If Vaclovas Uogintas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Vaclovas Uogintas made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Vaclovas Uogintas managed to get in a good position for a shot. FBK Žalgirio's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaclovas Uogintas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eidvilas Gerdauskas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd match minute, FC Medinyay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertas Genys to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Medinyay's zone, Vaclovas Uogintas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eidvilas Gerdauskas came out of the goal and Vaclovas Uogintas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FBK Žalgirio's Vėjas Žalpys got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Vaclovas Uogintas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dangiras Jankauskas charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dangiras Jankauskas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 79 minutes, Vaclovas Uogintas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FBK Žalgirio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaclovas Uogintas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vėjas Žalpys scored 1-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eidvilas Gerdauskas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute Lukas Vaišvila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tauras Virbickas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vėjas Žalpys took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eidvilas Gerdauskas. Eidvilas Gerdauskas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Eidvilas Gerdauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marijonas Burnickas, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Vaclovas Uogintas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eidvilas Gerdauskas having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FBK Žalgirio had played much better football throughout.
