The audience was convinced that Viktoras Mineikis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laimutis Kuliešius was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After 26 minutes FC PIPIRAI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bartas Matulevicius who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FBK Shventy's Bartas Matulevicius to fire away a dangerous shot which Laimutis Kuliešius despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Leonardas Sugzda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute, Vaclovas Kerbedis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 34 minutes, Eimontas Petrenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FBK Shventy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eimontas Petrenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, FBK Shventy's Arunas Mineikis got control of the ball when Rūtenis Auškalnis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laimutis Kuliešius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktoras Mineikis in the 42nd minute of the match. Viktoras Mineikis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

FBK Shventy's Leonardas Sugzda got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viktoras Mineikis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. FBK Shventy's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Viktoras Mineikis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Laimutis Kuliešius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laimutis Kuliešius was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vladas Sulcas . FBK Shventy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
