In a very dangerous position, a player in FBK Uzleidziu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Jokūbas Sartauskas walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The crowd rose to their feet as Mantvydas Norutis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Virginijus Tiškevičius. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Vytaras Kepalas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldas Bagvila in the 20th minute of the match. FBK Uzleidziu's Mantvydas Norutis got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ursus's goalkeeper Virginijus Tiškevičius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When FC Ursus's Almantas Butvilas in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FBK Uzleidziu's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Almantas Butvilas made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Arnoldas Bagvila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ursus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldas Bagvila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to FC Ursus getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Arnoldas Bagvila hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Jogaila Jazukevičius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Virginijus Tiškevičius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mantvydas Norutis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th match minute, FC Ursus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldas Bagvila to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Ovidijus Urniežius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnoldas Bagvila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Vytaras Kepalas made a huge save. Mantvydas Norutis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almantas Butvilas in the 73rd minute of play forced FBK Uzleidziu's goalkeeper Vytaras Kepalas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kristijonas Deniušis came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the FC Ursus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristijonas Deniušis couldn't finish the play. Daugirdas Alūzas charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daugirdas Alūzas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daugirdas Alūzas hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Paulius Kiškunas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Vytaras Kepalas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Jogaila Jazukevičius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FBK Uzleidziu and the FC Ursus players grew even worse after the yellow card.
