Zigmantas Gaigalas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arvydas Semaška in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Vincentas Kudirka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Byciai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grishkantsy the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimas Rakauskas in the 14th minute of play forced Byciai's goalkeeper Rolandas Damašas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zigmantas Gaigalas came out of the goal and Kajus Latonas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arvydas Semaška fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zigmantas Gaigalas having to interfere. Zigmantas Gaigalas was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Kajus Latonas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kajus Latonas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1.

In the 54th minute, Grishkantsy's Jurgis Jancaitis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jurgis Jancaitis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grishkantsy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jurgis Jancaitis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Grishkantsy's Jurgis Jancaitis got a free kick in the 55th minute. Petras Narauskas missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 57 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Zigmantas Gaigalas right hand side. Byciai's Rolandas Damašas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Byciai from getting a goal against them. Jeronimas Rakauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Rolandas Damašas made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Valdas Baltakis sent off a good shot on target. When Adas Birbilas fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Byciai's protests and gave Adas Birbilas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Kajus Latonas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Byciai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 78th minute, Kajus Latonas made a precise shot to the right of Zigmantas Gaigalas. Grishkantsy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Antanas Vilkas's late challenge caught a Byciai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antanas Vilkas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Grishkantsy getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jokūbas Biknius did an outstanding performance 84 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-1 to the right of an irritated Zigmantas Gaigalas in the goal. After 87 played minutes Grishkantsy got a freekick which was hit by Darius Astrauskas. Arvydas Semaška fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zigmantas Gaigalas having to interfere.
