In the 9th minute, Martynas Regelskis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Velikuny getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Dangiras Milkintas hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, FC Pentiskiai's Virgilijus Bilinkis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Augustinas Daukantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vidmantas Minkevičius having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Augustinas Daukantas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vidmantas Minkevičius was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Velikuny's Vidmantas Minkevičius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Velikuny from getting a goal against them. Kipras Baltrūnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Eugenijus Kapsukas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rimantas Prunskus hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Eugenijus Kapsukas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaidas Abalikšta in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rimantas Prunskus got free with Vidmantas Minkevičius in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augustinas Daukantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vidmantas Minkevičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Pentiskiai's Augustinas Daukantas got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augustinas Daukantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martynas Regelskis to make the kick off. Rimantas Prunskus charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rimantas Prunskus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Kipras Baltrūnas sped through FC Pentiskiai's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugenijus Kapsukas . 57 minutes into the game, Vladas Jasudas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velikuny's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Pentiskiai the free kick. After 57 played minutes Velikuny got a freekick which was hit by Vladas Jasudas. Velikuny's Vaidas Abalikšta got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Velikuny's Vidmantas Minkevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustinas Daukantas in the 67th minute of play. Vidmantas Minkevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rimantas Prunskus, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Velikuny's goal looked a bit too open when Andris Gunsilius came free, but Vidmantas Minkevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martynas Regelskis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vidmantas Minkevičius having to make a save. 82 minutes into the match, Velikuny's goal looked a bit too open when Augustinas Daukantas came free, but Vidmantas Minkevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
